• Capture and clearly communicate details related to application incidents affecting Ford Credit operations
• Assist in the resolution of high-impact incidents by deploying appropriate appliance and infrastructure teams.
• Providing awareness, facilitating, and communicating effectively about the status of Ford Credit incidents
• Ensure adequate monitoring and notice are in place
• Lead high and critical incident bridges to resolve major appliance incidents
• Warm-handed transition to regional event managers or incident management analysts to ensure correct communication and event triage continues
• Manage the coordination of appliance software and infrastructure changes
• Facilitate weekly global change control meetings
• Be available for closed hours/weekends on-call coverage
• Conduct review meetings in functional areas
• Review and manage open event tickets
• Generate Incident Management metrics reports and quarterly advisory summaries
• Actively participate in projects to build automated dashboards and configure automatic alerting using Splunk and Dynatrace
• Act as a liaison between Dev and Ops teams to ensure reliability in our software platform.
• SRE transformation journey
• For the new applications for on boarding and monitoring of existing appliances and infrastructure
• Assisting in the design of SRE standards.
• Help identify and eliminate tools with procedure redesign and automation
• Ensure that the right tools are in place to assess availability, latency, performance, efficiency, monitoring capabilities, emergency response tasks, and capacity planning.
• Use effective problem management to ensure lasting corrective action and avoid recurring incidents.
